You don't need to be “good with computers.”

AI is just a helpful assistant you talk to in plain words. In a few short lessons, you'll learn to use it for the things that matter — writing a note to family, understanding a letter from the doctor, making a shopping list, or checking whether a message might be a scam.

Plain language

Every lesson uses short sentences and everyday examples. No confusing tech words.

Large text & read-aloud

Make the words bigger with one tap, turn on high contrast, or have any lesson read out loud to you.

Safe from day one

We show you what's safe to share, how to spot scams, and remind you that AI is a helper — not a doctor.

Little wins that stick

Each lesson ends with a “Try it now” so you get a real result the very first time.

Safety & Privacy — the simple rules

AI is a wonderful helper, but a few easy habits keep you safe. Here's everything in one place, in plain language.

🔒 Three rules to always remember

  • Never share private numbers. Don't type your Social Security number, bank or card numbers, or passwords into any AI tool or website.
  • AI is not a doctor, lawyer, or bank. It can help you understand and prepare, but always confirm important decisions with a real professional.
  • If something feels urgent or secret, slow down. Scammers rush you. Real family and real companies will let you take your time.

What is safe to share with AI?

Usually fine: general questions, a recipe idea, a draft of a friendly message, a health term you want explained in simple words, or a suspicious message you want checked (with personal details removed).

Keep private: passwords, Social Security number, full card or bank account numbers, and login codes. If a lesson ever asks you to paste something personal, remove the private parts first — the tool doesn't need them to help.

Spotting scams

Be extra careful with any message that:

  • Says you must act right now or something bad will happen
  • Asks for gift cards, wire transfers, or cryptocurrency
  • Claims to be a grandchild, the government, or a bank asking for money or codes
  • Has a link or phone number you didn't expect

When in doubt, don't click. Call the person or company back using a number you already know — not the one in the message. Lesson 6 shows you how to have AI double-check a suspicious message for you.

Your privacy on this website

This site is simple on purpose. The 6 free lessons need no account and no password. Your lesson progress is saved only on your own device (in your browser), not sent to us. If you join the Club waiting list, we use your email for one thing only: to tell you when the Club opens.

Important: AI Everyday provides general educational information only. It is not medical, legal, or financial advice. Always confirm important matters with a qualified professional you trust.

Help & About

What is AI Everyday?

AI Everyday is a warm, patient place to learn how to use artificial intelligence (AI) for real, everyday life — writing messages, understanding health paperwork, everyday tasks, organizing memories, and staying safe online. It's made especially for seniors and the family members who help them.

How do the lessons work?

  • Pick a lesson and read it — or press “Listen to this lesson” to have it read aloud.
  • Each lesson has ready-made examples you can copy with one button and paste into a free AI tool.
  • At the end, a “Try it now” activity gives you a quick, real win.
  • Press “Mark this lesson finished” and your progress is saved on this device.

Which free AI tool should I use?

Any of these are good, free places to start. You can open one in your web browser:

ChatGPT

chat.openai.com — one of the most popular. Free to use.

Claude

claude.ai — friendly and clear. Free to use.

Google Gemini

gemini.google.com — from Google. Free to use.

Lesson 1 walks you through opening one for the very first time.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to pay anything?

No. The 6 lessons here are free forever, and you don't even need an account. A paid “Club” with extra features is coming later, but it's completely optional.

Is it safe? Will AI know my private information?

The lessons teach you exactly what's safe to share and what to keep private. As a rule: never type passwords, bank numbers, or your Social Security number into any AI tool. See the .

Can my son or daughter help me?

Absolutely — and they're welcome to. This site works on a phone, tablet, or computer, so you can learn together. Family sharing features are planned for the Club.

What if I forget how to do something?

That's normal! You can revisit any lesson as many times as you like. Nothing is ever “used up.”
